At Auto1Direct we take your security seriously, and work to ensure your details, and especially payment information, is secure.
Secure Data Encryption
An SSL certificate means that communications between your computer and the web site are encrypted while you are in the checkout process. This makes it far harder for anyone to ‘eavesdrop’ your details if you are using a wireless network or shared connection.
Secure Payment Gateway
We use a secure payment gateway system. This means that we never have your full card details, and never store your card information. This protect you against unauthorised transactions, and reduces the chances of card fraud so we can keep prices low.
We also accept payments via PayPal. As this is done entirely through the PayPal system, so we never have access to your card details. Lastly, we also take payments by cheque and cash if you prefer not to use a credit.
Your Customer Account
Your personal and order details are saved on our secure servers. We never save your payment details (which is why you have to enter then each time). Your account is protected by an encrypted password – even our staff can’t see the password you have chosen. If you have forgotten your password, please use the automated password recovery tool on the login page.
